Purpose of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience at the cutting edge of sustainability reporting. As a Data Analysis Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) assurance programmes by analysing client data, validating calculations, and contributing to high‑quality reports used for regulatory compliance and customer communications.

You’ll work closely with our senior auditors and client teams, developing your understanding of sustainability metrics, data quality, and international reporting frameworks—all while building highly employable analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate client data packs, including sustainability and GHG datasets

• Check emission calculations and cross‑reference activity data

• Verify information extracted from invoices and utility bills (energy, water, waste)

• Confirm use of correct emission factors from recognised international databases

• Work collaboratively with Lucideon’s senior auditors (project leads)

About You

This role would suit a post‑A level student, undergraduate, prospective graduate, or early‑career individual looking to develop real‑world experience in sustainability, data analysis, and environmental reporting.

You will bring:

• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills

• A strong command of MS Excel and good overall IT competency (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• A good understanding of data flow and databases

• An inquisitive mindset with a strong attention to detail

• The ability to work to tight deadlines

• Good communication skills and confidence in virtual meetings (MS Teams)

• A professional, friendly approach—our audit teams are known for being both expert and personable

Experience in an office or analytical environment is helpful but not essential—we are looking for potential, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
