We're actively seeking a motivated Junior Laboratory Technician to join Lucideon. Based at our state-of-the-art facility in Stone, Staffordshire, you’ll play a crucial role in our Analysis and Evaluation (A&E) delivery team, focusing on sample preparation and laboratory testing across various sectors including nuclear, medical/healthcare, and advanced materials.

Job Purpose:
As a Junior Laboratory Technician, you will support our Chemistry team by preparing samples and assisting with laboratory tests and calibrations. You'll ensure that all tasks are completed on time and in compliance with quality standards, contributing to our mission of solving complex challenges for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sample preparation using laboratory milling equipment.
  • Perform laboratory tests and calibrations under supervision to meet customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
  • Handle inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with ISO 17025.

Key Person Requirements:

  • Education to at least ‘A’ Levels preferably in a science-related field.
  • Alternatively, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in science or equivalent qualifications such as ‘T’ Level in science or engineering.

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team to solve challenges.
  • Strong work ethic and the potential to work independently after training.
